I was going to see Richie this morning when the Nissan did not want to start. I was forced to take the Toyota (the "Creepy Old Man" truck that I bought that I don't want to drive because the brakes are shot).

I registered the Nissan today and brought the plates back to Ty. I decided to take my own way to his house, avoiding the directions that he gave me. After a few phone calls I made it to his house. He must think that I am an idiot. That's OK. He's not the first. The truck seems to be running well. That's just plain super.

I visited with my mom for a while. We had a nice meal of hot dogs and macaroni salad. Her macaroni salad is the bomb and nobody does it better even though she adds onions. Her salad does so well by me that I can look past the onions, even though I can smell them. They probably smell like me. I don't know. My mom and I went to get some ice cream after dinner. All went well.

Today was a busy day that was helped by the wonderful weather. I think I will repeat the fact that New England makes one appreciate the warm days.

I returned Adaptation to Angie. I had borrowed this movie from her many moons ago and I'm sure she is glad to have it back. I am glad to have seen her. It was nice being able to catch up, if only for a little while.

I met Dana and his spawn (Tyler) later in the afternoon at Dana's place. I bought Tyler's truck. I hope that it turns out OK because I really need a solid vehicle to drive. Where I live there is no real public transportation and you're pretty much screwed without any wheels. I am borrowing his license plates until I transfer the ones I had on the Sierra.

I called my mom tonight. We had a nice talk. I hope to see her on Monday after I register the Nissan.

I sold the GMC Sierra today. I am sorry to part with it, in a way. It does hold a lot of positive memories. However, my situation has changed and I do not have a place to perform all of the repairs that it would require to be "inspect-able." I should note here that the windshield was cracked. This was a deciding factor (if not *the* deciding factor) for me. I am looking to purchase another truck from Dana's son. His spawn has a 1987 Nissan pick-up truck that is in fairly decent shape. My dad owned an '87 so there is a little bit of nostalgia in the equation. This is OK because the truck seems to be mechanically sound.

I am trying to put together a new format for this site. Also, there is a domain name being registered for this purpose. This will be swell for several reasons:

1. There are no "catches." Not only can I run whatever code I'd like, there is no minimum bandwidth requirement. Not that that was a problem. Yes, the old site apparently generated less than one hit per week. I am a little disconcerted by this fact but I have chosen to press on. That is all I can do.

2. I have a place for Homesliced Productions. This is a good thing in that people might think that I'm actually serious. Plus, I've always thought that "Homesliced" sounded cool.
